I’m giving 2 stars because the premium was cheaper. However, lower premiums must = no online services. Of course you can purchase your policy online, but forget it if you want to do anything else. Add a car-have to call them. Remove a car-have to call them. Change coverage-call them. Of course canceling-call them. Chat and text features lead to-we can’t answer that and -call them. Text literally took 2 hrs to respond and then the response was call them. These are basic policy expectations and all should be available online. I didn’t have a rocket that I was trying to insure. I canceled my policy yesterday and just once more wanted to know if that was an online option, nope-call them. “We are sorry this is not available online we are adding new features all the time” Basic features for a policy should have been added on day 1 of creating the website. Certainly in 2023 all options should be available. I’m actually paying more money at my new insurance company, but I don’t even care because I don’t have to call them every time I need to make a simple policy change.

Id leave a zero if it was on option. Liberty service is non existent when you need it and overpriced. Needed a tow over summer and it took almost 24 hours to get it, needed a 2nd tow recently and it was a circus and it was never set up to tow. More time spent trying to get a tow than it did to get new Insurance with different company set up and cancel Liberty insurance.

If I could give this company zero stars I would. If you ever get into an accident and the other party's insurance is liberty mutual LAWYER UP right away.

I knew how many miles is on my truck when I first got it few years back I switched companies went with another company cuz they were a little bit lower at the time and I got a call from them with a new policy and they saw how little I drove them vehicles and they are giving me a rate that's only half what other companies are giving me

They have great plans and services. You can create your own insurance plan. Add or take away what you need or don't need. For full coverage insurance I pay 88.00 for my Altima. Not bad...not bad at all. Ohhh and customer service reps are so amazing!

The worlds slowest talker works there. Literally no energy on the phone. Told me I don’t have car insurance but they keep taking the money out of my account. ??? I’d recommend calling the call center in stead of this location because the lady on the phone takes 20 minutes to finish a sentence.

I have a problem with them cause I paid for. Year or better and my insurance still got cancelled cause of something I add to my insurance and didn't make the payment the next month or so I lost money on my insurance for nothing only got 8 months out of a year or so I paid for

I filed an auto claim on May 18th. No one ever reached out to me, I called my claims rep EVERY SINGLE DAY and always left a voice mail. When she finally called back on June 16th at 7am she left an extremely rude voice-mail. I asked multiple times to talk to a manager and was always denied. On June 19th I drove 30 minutes to the nearest Liberty Mutual location, and spoke to the first helpful person, who gave me the number to someone higher up I could call. After calling the number twice and being promised a same-day call back, I finally received a call the following day. I have now been working on this auto claim for over a month, my only request of the manager was to give me someone else to handle my claim so I could get it finalized. He said he would not do that. He made excuses for why the claim is taking so long, and offered no solutions. I will be changing my insurance the second I can. I have never worked with a place with such terrible customer service.

we called around for insurance we got a quote fro. them. the insured it was the exact same policy as our other insurance. they promised lower coverage. we signed polcy with them for them a month later to.increase our policy $50 a month and drop parts of our coverage. we called to make sure we was covered in the.same way. now we needed roadside assistance and they never added it back on. very shady people very shady coverage and quotes

It takes way too long to get to speak with a customer service representative. When I’m needing to take care of something time sensitive it feels like my time is not valued. I tell the robot “Representative” responds, “Need to know more about what you need.” I tell what my issue is regarding, then it says “here is our automated system to take care of that.” My issue needs a representative. I press zero...nothing... zero again... “enter your policy” I don’t have my document nor do I want to take a trip to the parking garage when I can be looked up a dozen ways. No other option, so I enter zeros 3 time until it says “press one to speak to a representative”.........-_- I press one. I am currently on hold and it’s been near 20 minutes.

When I called for a quote and spoke to an agent The very first time, they couldn’t have been nicer. They agreed with me on everything and promised me everything I asked for. I asked the agent to match my coverage to my previous coverage because I wanted everything to be the same. We were in the process of buying a house and my loan officer was pushing me too send over all the required paperwork that same day. The insurance company worked with me on that and said everything is matching my previous policy and they will send me all of the paperwork to sign which then I hurried up and signed without looking over the contract (that was my fault but I trusted that the Agent would do exactly what I asked him to do). A month later we had hail damage on our roof and needed a roof replacement. We called the insurance out there and I was told that I had a $13,000 deductible. I have never signed up for that high of a deductible on previous policies and All the agent had to do was copy my previous policy that had a $1500 deductible. After many calls to liberty mutual,I got the worst run around and excuses out there. When I asked for proof of the audio call they were not able to provide it. The manager I spoke to kept saying I should have read the policy before I signed it. Again, I know I made a mistake on that part but as a big insurance company they could have worked with me on something. Now we are paying for our own roof and no help from Liberty Mutual. The worst part was the manager wouldn’t even give us a call back and he made his assistant call to tell us there’s nothing they can do. They can take your money upfront but when it comes to reversing something they are not able to do it.I have talked to so many people and nobody has heard of a $13,000 deductible with other insurance companies. I was basically told that the sales agent I spoke to made a mistake but it is still my fault for not reading over the contract. I have dropped liberty mutual and I will never do business with them again. I’ve talked to many people that have had issues with claims with this same insurance company. When my loan officer called them to have all the paperwork sent over to him he could not get a hold of anyone for days and then when he finally did it took them a whole week to send over the policy documents. If I could give this insurance a zero rating I would.

It is impossible to do anything other than give them your money. It's so simple to give them money but if you have to make a claim prepare to be on hold for days. Also if you would like to cancel your insurance it's even more difficult. Save money and time, find a different insurance company.

Really long wait times on phone 25-30 min, unable to make policy changes online, extremely high rates when I had a good driving record , multiple car / home insured. I was very disappointed.

Service is non existent. I had a Liberty Mutual policy in California for my home owners policy. We went through the wildfires of 2017 in Santa Rosa. Service was flawless. I must have cost LM $500,00+. However after moving to ST. Louis, MO we went with Liberty Mutual for our car insurance. What a HUGE mistake. Absolutely dreadful customer service. What a mistake.

After 10 years of being a loyal client, Liberty Mutual sent me a dear John letter to drop me as a client due to one accident and a pot hole being with in 3 months of each other. I paid my bills on time, I had all my insurance lines with them and they dropped my insurance during a pandemic with only 25 days notice to find new insurance! When I called to find out what happened I was met with nothing but disdain and poor customer service saying it is their policy to send a letter and it is USPS service's fault for not getting there within the 30 days (because obviously they do not know how to call people). I had recommended them multiple times over the years and now after waiting a week to have a member of the "Presidential; Service Team" interrupt my day literally to tell me it is my fault that the team members treated me with poor customer service, I hope that any body serious considers ANY other insurance agency over Liberty Mutual, even if it cost more it will be worth it not to be treated with such disdain.

This insurance company is nothing but a joke I have had nothing but problems from them since day one and now they are withdrawing from my bank account twice a month for payments after I stopped the autopay with them and I wish I could give them negative stars because this insurance company is just out there for the money they don't care about anything as long as they get paid so i will never ever do buisness with these scam artists ever again my insurance started out with 145 and now it is all the way up to 245 with in a month and I have rinters insurance as well with them and that started out as 5 dollars a month and now it is 35 a month

Lol insurance was $147 to start next payment was $114 then called back to change amount after they received my money now is $127.50. Just tried to go make that payment and now it is $147.80 monthly so i just cancelled it. Tired of being lied too

I have covid-19 and I have an agency that was gonna help me pay my insurance payment because I am out of work due to the virus I assume I am the only one that do have it per the young lady I spoken to she told me that I was terminated and can not be reinstated I then said unbelievable I have no job no income and it is a state law to have insurance and I am calling to see if I have some days before I am completely cutoff grace period days she then starts to read the policy and states it have to be paid within 5 days who do we trust behind these phones while they are at home trying to take our money good thing I do not have any for them to fraudulent take from me day 2 of this I then told her I guess liberty mutal going to loose business because the world is in a pandemic if she didn't notice i amazing the best I can I haven't worked since June no income none at all hope the agency pay before I am cancelled good day

I would give less then 1 star if possible I called last month to cancel my policy before it was even due they claimed it would be cancelled yet it came out of my account anyways including an overdraft fee so what happens this month the same thing has happened again and I call once again to cancel the policy and yet again I was assured it was cancelled and today the same thing happened my account was overdrawn because some incompetent employees can’t figure out how to do their jobs sure they offered the refund the monthly rate for THIS month only like it hasn’t cost me $70 in overdraft fees for a policy I have CANCELLED not once but TWICE place is a disaster and a joke. And I will be leaving this review everywhere I possibly can.

I have been a customer for over a year. Recently my vehicle was involved in a car accident and the service that I have received has been horrible. I can’t wait to switch companies. They do not care about the customer. They have gotten too big and it shows.

They promoted a RightTrack tracking device to monitor my driving which comes with an automatic discount for participating. The plug-in device drained the battery completely to dead in my 2015 Mercedes C-Class. I got jumped to start it and road around. Two days later I got a battery low warming again! Called right track customer service and the lady I spoke with said there was nothing they can do and if I take it out they’ll remove my discount. So pick your poison... go through multiple battery’s in 90 days because this device is running them dead over and over or unplug and lose the discount. Liberty Mutual should be paying for everyone’s replacement batteries.

I had 3 tickets and a driving on revoked. I checked several well known insurance companies and liberty mutual gave me the best quotes. 60$ a month thank you.

Agent was great.... Until I signed a new policy with him. And then, nothing. Refused to return calls, texts, and emails for days at a time, on two separate occasions when I was trying to correct THEIR mistakes on my policies. I wish I'd read reviews before doing business with them.

The Right Track program is a scam. Once it's over your policy will likely increase. They explain it initially that you cannot be charged extra, but what they fail to mention is that you get an automatic 10% discount for enrolling but the 10% is removed at the end of the trial period and replaced with a 5-30% discount. So I'm ending up paying more. I would not have enrolled at all had the sales person explained it properly the first time.

They got me interested in talking by initially stating I would save $25 a month than my current insurer was charging. By the end of the call it had gone up so I wasn’t saving so much anymore but I still hung in there. I was being a penny pincher too. I made sure more than once that I was being told exactly what my monthly bill would be. The buyers regret really kicked in when I downloaded the app and set up my account. Even though they got my account and routing number so they could direct debit my bank, I was still getting charged $2 per policy. I had two. Auto and homeowners. So add on $4 to my monthly charge. So they are charging me to pay them! That’s free with other companies lol! If I went the regular route of making the payments myself, it’s $6 a month! WTH! I wasn’t even told about it. The salesman did not mention the charge. I promise you. I canceled the next day. Got them to email me proof of cancellation just in case. Called my current insurer and got them to make sure I wasn’t canceled with their policy and they even reviewed my policy and cut a few bucks off my monthly bill so I didn’t need to leave. I made sure there was no money in my bank account in case liberty wanted to “accidentally” take my payment and make me jump through hoops the next two weeks trying to get it back. They didn’t, I canceled two days before it was supposed to be withdrawn.

Received a quote for coverage, paid the fee just to find out the quote was much more than anticipated. The payment is still posted on my account. These people made me three way call my bank give all my personal information just to verify that I have enough money to refund what they took out! If you speak with Shanana she is very unprofessional and now has my personal information. Now I have to wait 14 days for them to correct their mistake. Was told Monday the 27th 2020 that the payment will be rejected due to me canceling the policy. Now today it’s pending, every customer service rep says something different. This company is NOT worth dealing with. You will get the run around and about 10 different excuses, by the way, nothing is their fault. It’s always the banks fault. I will stick with The General, much more affordable and amazing customer service!

If I could give zero stars I would. Definitely not a company you want to do business with. When I originally started the policy my date of birth was entered on my quote wrong. When I called to get the correct date of birth on the policy my original amount quoted changed. The agent that updated my date of birth then offers to make some adjustments to my mileage in order to bring my monthly payment down. When she did the changes she didn’t re-enter the discounts I qualified for. This caused my bill to go up around $65 dollars. When I called to find out why my bill went up they told me the discounts where left off, and there isn’t anything they could do I had to pay the additional $65. Long story short I have a final bill $155 because I switched insurance companies, and I asked their customer service department as well as their corporate complaint department to credit the balance owed for all of the inconveniences. I was told unfortunately their is nothing we will credit...have a nice day. I’m glad I know longer do business with this company. I will never do business with them again. This survey is for the consumers like me that read reviews. Not a good company to do business with if you are looking for them to own their mistakes, or do the right thing to show their customers they value their business. I should have read the reviews first like I normally do! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH LIBERTY MUTUAL!!! Horrible service!

HORRIBLE company!!!! They refuse to use police reports, and won’t interview witnesses. They just make up stuff as they go and they are very rude and condescending. I highly recommend going somewhere else because they will NOT pay any claims. I heard nothing but LIES and got the run around.

Terrible experience... I got water all over my house, wanted to fill a claim and they just ignore my calls. We tried 5 times for 30 minutes and they just disconnected our calls... We got 0 help from these guys, terrible service!!!

Roadside is terrible. I waited 6 hours to get my car towed 10 mins away. I’m seriously thinking about getting rid of them as my insurance service provider

This is one off the worst insurance I ever had they went up 900 no ticket nothing I call them they don't have nothing to say before that they ask me to use Right track to save %10 and i get this $900 they suck service is suck don't buy

I am so sick of Liberty Mutual advertisements. All day long I hear the Limu Emu jingle and then at the end they say Liberty 4 times. I usually hit the mute button or change the channel since I am so tired of it. They claim they have the lowest rates but how could they when they pay millions for ads everyday. They would be the last place I would go to for insurance.

Kept getting stuff in the mail that they can give me cheaper auto insurance with discounts because of my employer. I pay $136 a month for full coverage with All state. Liberty Mutual offered me $140...with my so called "discounts." if that is with my "discount," how much are they charging regular people? Jesus Christ no wonder they have horrible reviews. These people aren't going to b in business much longer. I'm don't even have insurance through them and I hate this place.

If I could give zero start I would. This was the only insurance company I had ever had since I had gotten my license at 17. I have had NOTHING but problems. The only reason I stayed so long was because of how many discounts I was able to get for being with them for so long. As soon as I found a place with better rates I jumped ship. They constantly, no matter how many times I contacted them to let them know to stop contacting my dad for my bill, they never did change it. I tried to switch agents because not only was mine unreachable but she likes to change my policy without my knowledge. On the rare occasion I did get ahold of her which was ONCE the entire time I was with them (imagine that - when I was going to add on another policy) she promised up and down that she would fix all the things that were wrong with my policy and my online access. Nothing was ever resolved. Customer service was incompetent, incompetent agents, overall incompetent company. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Oh and if you have an accident of any kind (I did and it was deemed that it was NOT my family as the person admitted fault from the beginning) they're not going to help with anything. They told me I would pay for everything out of pocket and they would TRY to reimburse me. So I went to the other person's insurance who obviously tried to give me the least amount possible - not even covering all expenses. When I went back to Liberty Mutual they told me the same thing - that I would pay out of pocket and they would attempt to recover the costs for me. What a joke.

They claim to get you a better deal and outsource to other companies if they can’t. My credit and driving history is great. No accidents nor violations in the past 10+ years. Let’s say the price on my quote was not even close to a better deal then what I have now. If you have my insurance information in a shared database. Please be sure to match the price I have with more insurance or greater insurance with your high prices. They wanted to charge me $57+ For changing car insurance and that was at a discount rate. Wow great way to win a customer. Now I’ll be sure to stick with my current insurance until they trip. Hopefully it doesn’t come to that. Money money money and more money. I’ll be sure to shop around for another bank as well given they shared the info. Smh. P.s if I don’t make money with messing with you... then we don’t make money at all. Star 2 for the heads up and star one for the waste of time.

Terrible company. They canceled my homeowners policy 3 weeks after my final closing because of vegetation that was promptly removed after I actually owned the house, but didn't bother to inquire about whether it had been addressed or give any kind of notice regarding their concerns. I received a cancellation letter in the mail . No real interaction with an agent, no customer service of any kind. I should have known better by the poor customer service skills of the guy on the phone when taking out the policies. Had the "right track" device through my car insurance policy with them and that's a joke too. I strongly advise not using this company for anything.

With Liberty Mutual You will "Get Your Whole Car Back. " THE ONLY PROBLEM IS IT WON'T BE REPAIRED IF YOU ARE HIT BY AN UNINSURED DRIVER. This is the absolute worst coverage you can get. They will falsify documents in order to avoid helping you. Do yourself a favor. Spend a few more dollars and go with a company that will fix your car right.
