At the Comparion office in Raleigh, trained local agents can help you find the coverage you need, and the discounts you deserve. Our Raleigh office is located in the Arena Centre on Sunday Drive. Liberty Mutal is full of it. I contacted them in mid September about starting a new policy in October when my current one ends did a quote everything. For the rest of Sept until I paid my down payment on September 30 for my policy to start on Oct 08 I got emails phone calls and texts about the quote I had waiting. On 0ct 15th I get a letter dated for Oct 07 stating they are removing all phyicial damages covered. I financed my car so technically I do not have the coverage I need now for a car I am still paying on. But all those emails and calls I got bout the quote I had not once did any one contact prior to my policy starting to inform me of this why basically I would have had the opportunity to take my business elsewhere and obtain a refund on my down payment they purposely waited until my policy was in effect. Trolls ?

I purchased a cashiers check and went to 1511 Sunday Drive. This location is not open. I had a difficult time making the final payment of $139.80 to stop the renewal process on This policy. Liberty had listed the younger family member as the primary Insurer. After 2 years with Liberty , I realized they are not a good neighbor, they are not on your side, nor are they making sure your in good hands. They left me stranded last year June 2021on a rainy day. The Agent responding in the Raleigh office shared his couldn’t care less comments after Stating the Staff all are working remote from their homes. I would not renew with Liberty again.Totally inconsiderate company that seems not to address your needs when they arise. Glad to get your business. Service options to resolve and take care of insurance needs lacking. Updated professional insurance cards at renewal have to be requested. Recommend getting other options for roadside assistance.

I have been a customer for more than 20 years. All I want is to get a quote. It took forever to get a live body on the phone. The quote was suppose to be emailed. I never received it. I tried to go online in the chat room and what a fiasco again. I have just given up. Will cancel my insurance when it is up for renewal.

Horrible company!! I told them to cancel my insurance and after calling them for 3 months pleading to cancel, they turned me over to a collection agency saying I owed them for those 3 months. I finally just paid the bill to protect my credit. Do not do business with any company or person that has anything to do with Liberty Mutual!!

the brakes went out in my car, I called for roadside assistance and the insurance was negotiating the tow fees with the service they picked while I'm waiting in the cold. at the end the tow service refused to come out after we waited for a long time.

So I have been a LM customer for almost 20 years. It was not until recently that the professionalism and communication that LM once held has since turned into me calling the NC Insurance Commission and filing complaints. The first incident was when my permitted driver son had a minor bump up with another car. The adjuster called and got my side of the story and my minor son side of the story. A few weeks later he turned 16. We added him to the policy and I had noticed they spelled his name wrong and the LM agent noticed that they added my son as a 16 yr old driver while he was still 15 and bypassed the Underwriters (aka Fraud) and stated that we failed to report him as a licensed driver. It took numerous phone calls, speaking with supervisors who promised they would fix the issue and that stated their claims agent made an error although he bypassed the Underwriters and lied to them. The agents supervisor said she saw no wrong doing. Fast forward weeks later and the issue was still not resolved because of their error early on. So we went from having a small increase to a huge increase because of this agents so-called mistake....aka FRAUD! which put a stoppage on our insurance and we finally got resolution when we got the NC Insurance Commission involved. It was amazing how quick LM called us back. Now here we are almost 6 months later and we had a flood at our home. Reached out to LM to file a claim. They had the water mitigation people here within 2-3 days and that is where communication somewhat stops. The claims adjuster was the next contact we had after almost 4 weeks. Every call in would lead us to someone else. The adjuster Scott A. was pretty cool and very thorough with what was going on. That is where it stops though. LM recommended CAREMASTER who came with Scott. Still ZERO contact with LM about next steps. I had more calls from another company LM uses than I have my actual insurance company. Here we are almost 60 days later and I have spoken to one actual person from LM about what is going on. Everything is automated with the promise of callbacks and everything else. If you are looking for an insurance company this is not the place. Do yourself a favor and go another route. After this issue I will have another insurance carrier. Ok I was with State Farm a d I left them because Liberty told me that I can save more money and more coverage. So the fort month I payed 20 dollars less then State Farm the next I’m pay 20 dollars more the I was paying State Farm. They raised there price after they told me one price. I called them tree time and every time it goes up and less coverage. Going back to State Farm ! Liberty and Safeco are crooks !

Worst company ever. Signed up at $209 a month and thought that was a good rate. I didn’t try and hide anything when I signed up. I put down that my license had been suspended before. 2 months later they said they were dropping my coverage bc I didn’t disclose something on my record and also raised my rate to $445 a month without telling me. They just drafted it out my account and after they dropped my coverage they sent me another bill for $297. I refused to pay it bc I would be paying $960 for 2 months of insurance after signing up at $209 a month so they sent it to a collection agency and it started ruining my credit. DO NOT USE THEM.

Please note, if you are cancelling with Liberty Mutual you will be hit with significant fees. We cancelled to save a lot of money with another company and were hit with a cancellation fee of $297.19 for cancelling mid-term. We were not told about this fee when we cancelled, we were just told that our final bill would come to us for any remaining owed coverage. We were on an automatic draft monthly. We have been customers of Liberty Mutual for years and this policy is extremely disappointing. When we asked about this policy, we were told to reference the Liberty Mutual Termination Provisions, which we have not been able to find in our paperwork nor online.

Not only did I update my new address with them 3 months after moving, I also called to cancel my daughters car from my policy. Unbeknownst to me, they continued to charge me for almost 10 months with her still on my policy. Finally after calling to review this they still haven’t updated my “ new” address in their system and apologize for the overcharging and will apply it to my new premium for the year. I called in this past April to make a payment with another form of payment due to financial issues,covid, laid off, and couldn’t have them auto pay from my bank. Today, I get a message from them that my payment has been increased due to an address change!!! This has been now over 2 yrs and they are just now addressing this and somehow I’m supposed to pay for their incompetencies and negligence???? I couldn’t believe how poorly misrepresented I have been with this insurance company!

I had liberty mutual for over 15 years. I filed a home owner insurance claim for damages to property and they denied the claim. Premium not withstanding, insurance is only as good as their willingness to pay in the event of a loss. Liberty found a way not to pay. Amica insurance company declared they would cover in the same situation. Therefore, they will continue to receive my business.

My mom had been with LM for years and added me (20 yr old female at the time) to the policy. I have a clean record, and decided to have a policy of my own (at 28 yrs old) and it was crazy high. Forget those commercials, I had the bare minimum and the rates were still insane. As cheesy as it sounds, I switched to Geico and got a WAY better rate.

FYI Liberty mutual will not fight for you the right way . A few months ago I had a Vechical that struck me from the driver side, not paying attention. This same lady had given her confession as well as kept apologizing saying she was at fault to the police officer.( which was noted on the police report saying that she said she was at fault ) While waiting to hear back from the claims department , I found out that the lady had changed her statement & that her insurance was backing her up as well as mines because I didn’t have full coverage only liability and no body injuries

If I could give no stars I would. Been with them for 17 years n every month my bill would go up till I got one for 716 dollars called n was told Bc I was a week late but had received all my payments that I now would have to pay 716 for four months. I ask rep could she afford that n she said no so I asked how do u think I can. So much for customer loyalty. Call progressive got same insurance for 1/3 of their price. Next up homeowners with progressive let’s see how they feel paying mortgage company back. Truly disgusting. I never understood why they charged so much but I CAN SAY THIS THEY SUCK AT CUSTOMER SERVICE AND IM MORE THAN PLEASED WITH NEW COMPANY.

This is the worst insurance company ever. I was hit by a customer of theirs in October when I was told I would be contacted by a claims rep. Well I was never contacted I called for 3 months and finally in December I called just for them to tell me they will not be fixing my car because the customer "said" she was hit in the back before she hit me. And the rep Nester Barraza was so smug now I have to fix my own car. If I could give them - stars I would give them a -5. They have no customer service skills at all. So if you're thinking of making this your insurance company you should try someone else!!

You should be able to give negative stars.. Customer service is non existent. Due to an "instate" relocation, we had our insurance quoted by Farm Bureau...the rate came back $4500 less then Liberty Mutual......YES $4500! We have NO points against us.. No accidents... basically perfect driving records. I called to ask my sales rep Adam Schulte, why our policy was so high ($7500) 7 weeks of calling repeatedly, no return call, until we canceled our policy. We did speak to the "staff" but I wanted to talk directly to him..My advice is DO YOUR HOMEWORK! This company screws you more then once. Never again Liberty mutual...Shame on you for running a dishonest and misleading business.

Extremely prejudice to the Chinese community. When I added a 24 year old exchange student with 8 years driving experience. The moment the operator found out she was chinese he automatically said oh she has no experience then..... I went to other insurance places and they agreed that was wrong as her age and perfect score on her drivers safety courses!!! Ps liberty mutual was way cheaper for a 19 year old German exchange student..... how is that fair??? Maybe because her ethnicity was white and not chinese? All I can go by is how the man on the phone at liberty Mutual changed his mind when he got her name.

I had a car crash that wasn’t my fault. The other persons insurance is Liberty Mutual. They finally settle and pay my medical bills but I never get reimbursed for the medical bills I had to pay out of pocket because they took to long to settle and I risked getting my credit impacted. Then I get a medical bill back that was supposed to have been paid by Liberty Mutual and it wasn’t so now I have to pay this bill too? I’m the victim and I have to pay for the medical bills? Are you guys serious? And forget trying to reach anyone it’s like playing a horrible game of phone tag. No one ever tries to get back and people love to ignore my calls. What’s my next avenue because I really don’t want to keep paying these medical bills that liberty mutual should have paid!

Please shop around I found out the hard way that they're double what other companies charge. Paid 1070 a year when another company was 459 for the same. Just canceled all my policies. My mother just switched from LM and saved over 900 a year.

One of their insured totaled my car and they have been dragging their feet every single step of the way. Originally they said they would cover a rental for up to 30 days at $30/day, which seemed like plenty, but then they told me I only have four days left to use the rental car after they deemed my car as totaled. 30 days is not up and I don't have my reimbursement check yet. This accident was not my fault and I'm worse off than I was. This should be criminal.

I can't speak as to the other reviews on here but only to my own experiences. We've had liberty mutual since 2008, have had 1 claim on my home owners. We had the sewer back up into our downstairs and after giving them a call and finding out we had black water coverage they had a rep out here the next day. Everything was handled professionally, quickly and they had no problems paying on the claim. They even paid for our meals since we couldn't use or water for cooking and cleaning while the sewer was out which was about 2 weeks. A crew came in and did the clean up, removed all the floors, trim and the sheetrock from the floor up to about 3 foot, thoroughly cleaned all surfaces then a second crew came in, closed off the area and ran air circulators and dryers until the framing and concrete floor no longer tested for higher moisture levels. Third was the rebuilding, everything went smoothly and efficiently. Thankful for their help when we needed it.

I have received 5 star service from Liberty Mutual agent Michael Bunn. I was a little worried initially about the negative reviews online, but when I called for a quote for homeowners insurance after buying a new home, I received nothing but the best service I think I've EVER had from an insurance agency. Even their call center staff is awesome. Michael Bunn contacted me shortly after requesting a quote with an even better quote and helped me with my home, then my vehicle, and my (now) husband's vehicle, merged our accounts, and educated me on life insurance policies. He is quick to respond, and even responds past normal business hours which is unheard of.... I don't write reviews often, but I felt like this was worth sharing. :)

Stay away! Their attention to claims is disastrous. I’ve been a customer from more than 12 years with auto and homeowner’s insurance through them. Unfortunately, I’ve had to file two claims in less than a year. One was after someone crashed into the back of my truck and totaled it. The other was after a hail storm. In both cases, when it came time to use my insurance (not one late insurance premium payment since I became a customer), dealing with the claims people was nothing less than a nightmare! No call backs, delayed email replies, can’t reach anyone, phone calls go directly to voicemail – everyone is sorry that the last person dropped the ball but they are unable to help me and have to transfer me away to another messaging system. It continues to go on like this while my house isn’t being repaired. Next stop, I am filing a claim with the BBB. Stay away from them. Their service sucks! The could care less about you, your automobiles or your house! Once this claim ends, I am dropping them.

These are the worst people I have ever seen. They use to be great but they are the worst. I really do not give them a 1 but that is the lowest that I could give them. I would give them a 0. Do not put your most precious assets in the hands of these people. It took them from May to September to handle a claim that should have taken three weeks at the most. Theye give you and your contractor the business. If you have LM get rid of them before you have to put in a claim

Look elsewhere. The left hand does not know what the right hand is doing. One person will tell you that there will be no fees for canceling early. Then if you cancel early, you will be slammed with a fee that will blamed on "state law". It is not a law. It is company policy rooted in NC law that the Liberty Mutual uses to take money from their clients just one more time.

Just got run around on the phone for the last week for a total of ~2 hours trying to cancel my overpriced policies. I've been with Liberty Mutual since 2015, they have given me nonstop misinformation and shady business tactics since I spoke with them on Aug 18th originally, before that, I had not had an issue. Truly an unacceptable customer experience at the end. I will never give Liberty Mutual another cent, they treated me disrespectfully, their representatives misinformed me on multiple occasions, and they aren't willing to assist once you've cancelled your policy (I'm assuming they don't care if I'm not sending them money). If I could post a zero star review for the experience I had in the last week with them, I would. Honest advise, I shopped 2 other major companies for my renter's, auto, and motorcycle polices. Both of them came back lower, the one I went with was a total reduction of cost annually of ~$430.00 with the same coverage. Avoid this company and their poor business ethics and standards.

Liberty Mutual is Not for Long Term Customers. We were with Liberty Mutual for over 30 years. Every year we were getting an insurance rate increase on both our homeowners and auto insurance. We would call every January and Liberty Mutual would "rework" our policy so we would save about $20.00 of the increase, yet it still increased every year. We finally broke down and called AllState and for the EXACT SAME POLICY we got over $700.00 off our Auto and Homeowners policies. If you are a long term policy owner we STRONGLY suggest you call another Insurance company and get a quote. We received almost the same savings with State Farm but liked AllState better. Fool me once shame on you, Fool me twice shame on me. We are very happy now!

My personal experience with Mark Boston, didn't feel like he was forthcoming as he could he wanted me to sign over a 'document' essentially giving him the permission to hike up my home insurance rates year after year with no reason whatsOever. Switched within a week to another company and have been very happy - no ongoing rate hike as I experienced with this company (even with a 820 credit rating and never filed a claim). SHOP AROUND PEOPLE SHOP AROUND - you can save so much!!!!!

Was in a MVA on may 14th 2016 it is now Aug 12th and i havent gotten another vehicle or even my settlement check to buy another car! The accident was NOT our fault! We call every day and no answer! They tell us it shouldnt be but a few more days but its been 3 months!! I havent been able to work in 3 months and ive had to drop my classes in college because i dont have any transportation! Liberty mutual only paid for my rental car for 2 weeks if i could give a lower score than 1 star i would!
