I initially reached out to Raj Marfatia for a comparable auto insurance policy, expecting the same coverage I previously had. Unfortunately, despite setting up the policy, he neglected to include windshield glass replacement—a critical coverage.  

When I discovered this issue after my windshield cracked, I contacted Raj for an explanation. He insisted that glass coverage was only available if the full $750 deductible was paid. This was false. Under the same insurance company three years ago, a chip was repaired without paying the full comprehensive deductible.  

Repeated attempts to reach Raj were met with silence—he ignored texts and calls. Eventually, he stated, "There in general is no longer that $50 deductible glass option like there was in the past when quoted Progressive for you." This was also untrue. A claims adjuster confirmed this coverage still existed, however, was currently not on my new policy which went into effect a couple weeks ago thanks to Raj.  

At this point, I was in jeopardy  of having to pay the full $750 deductible through insurance, or pay for the glass on my own. Fortunately, the insurance company helped file the claim, sparing us from paying the full deductible.  

Even after resolving the issue without Raj’s help, I informed him of the outcome and asked for a follow-up call upon his return from a trip. Two months later, no response.

I don’t expect an agent to be available 24/7, but basic accountability and post-sale service should be a given. If you want an insurance agent who only cares about the sale but disappears when assistance is needed, Raj Marfatia fits the bill. I Would NOT recommend.
