My husband and I have been clients with Liberty Mutual for many years. My toddler and I walked downstairs to flooding sewer water and I was terrified. My son was screaming. My husband filed our claim later that day and we quickly heard back from Liberty Mutual with our assigned adjustor, Tim Ball. After the many horror stories I’ve heard about insurance adjustors, I was dreading it. I can now say that I consider us one of the lucky few because Tim was seamless, professional, empathetic and transparent. He was so easy to work with and really set new standards for Liberty Mutual. He had our back through it all – finding a contractor, validating costly expenses and justifying the best replacements to return back to our old home. I am beyond thankful for the exceptional support from Tim Ball.

I closed my policy on the 28th and was supposed to be refunded in 3-5 business days. March 10th came and my bills were due and  I still hadn’t been refunded. When I called I was told it should be to me any day. When I called back on March13th I still hadn’t received a refund that I was supposed to have received by March 7th at the absolute latest. By this point I’m taking late fees for the bills that I should have been able to pay. By the time I was finally sent to a “resolution” specialist I was then informed that they waited 2 weeks to send my refund to watch their own backs. No one informed me of this any of the times I called and apparently they have the two week policy set for them but nothing set for their clients given that one of their employees forget to inform them of the two week waiting period. They were very unapologetic about the entire experience. I would not recommend this overpriced in the first place insurance company.

I contacted Becca McAsey regarding home owners insurance in Tn...in less than an hour, she had found significant reduction in our insurance premiums with a reputable company. They are terrible to deal with. We turned in a small claim on our homeowners. They first said couldn't cover a water leak because it was over 14 days old. Then called back said they would, took time off work to meet adjuster and everything. Was supposed to have known results in a couple days. 10 days later I called, and he hadn't sent all paperwork. They get that straightened out, call me and tell me a deposit will be made within 1.5 hrs. It doesn't go in, I called back and they said they wasn't going to cover it. it was a hidden leak didn't know it. Changing insurance.

Liberty Mutual is horrible to work with.  They are trying to not pay for my rental car since they say my car isn't available.  Funny thing is my car is at the place it was towed to following their insured hitting my parked car. They have gotten the estimate but now say my rental will not be paid because apparently they think I am hiding my car. I want back in my own car which is less than a year old with less than 7000 miles on it.
I would never recommend anyone use Liberty Mutual as they don't care and certainly don't want to pay out claims.

Dropped my insurance. No DUI's, always paid on time. Husband had two violations. No massive wrecks  but, they dropped my insurance.  Pathetic.  The so- called " underwriters" are horrible. Only gave them one star so I could comment.

Ohhhhh I got a doozy!!! Will speak with Headquarters and other local agencies in attempt to resolve their MANY ERRORS that’s causing me unnecessary stress! It highly appears as though I need to give my attorney a call !!! Stay tuned for the nightmare. I hope headquarters cares enough to right the MANY WRONGS, however, it doesn’t change the fact that they happened & based on these reviews, will continue to. If they’re thorough and open to reverse the affects this has had on me over almost 2 years, I am honest enough to include if and how corporate can aid me, along with the experience both my daughter and I have had with hopes that a company so large will implement change and effectiveness with their paying customers, instead of worrying about the BOTTOM LINE!

If you can set up ,a appointment with one of their
Agents, and meet in there office ,it's a lot better deal.if you can also get through the menu of there robot that can't hear always!!.

The emu the LiMu or what ever it is, commercial is a lie. Liberty Mutual has been stealing $6,000 a year from me for auto insurance for a couple years. We have been with them foe 7 years and never filed a claim. Floods come on 10/8 car is caught in flash flood water. No good answers from this mega insurance company - except it takes time. Allstate has already answered 2 claims and paid their customers out. Farm Bureau has already seen that their customers car is fixed and running as of yesterday. Check Yelp, google and other review forums before you go with Liberty Mutual.

Food is great! However, last time I went they were closing before their listed closing time and couldn't give a reason. They just stated "we already closed down our drawers".

Had this insurance for quite some time but found much cheaper rates with better coverage elsewhere. I really hate changing companies but they couldn't compete.

Liberty Mutual has been the best experience for me! I have full coverage on a Toyota corolla and a 2500 dodge and it under 300 dollars a month. Can't beat that.

Paying insurance for 4 yrs to basically have no coverage if something happens

I had an accident about two years before i bagan my policy with them so they had to charge me some inflated rate until the accident droped off my record. But conviently whenmy rate should have decreased dramatically at renewal they found some phantom ticket that was going to cause my already high rate to go higher. I went to the DMV and pulled records, no ticket i asked them to send me the information they had but they didnt have it, i contacted the organization from which they claim to have gotten the information they didnt have it i would only be able to get it from liberty mutual, who didnt have it, but they got it from the organization they referred me to, who didn't have it, and so forth and so on . Conclusion they had me at a high rate for two good years and that was enough. They didnt want to be bothered with some low profit policy.
