Worst company ever!!! They literally asked for a document. We sent the document. We called and confirmed they got the document. They dropped us without notice!!! Then when we called back to ask why, they said they never got the document and they can’t take us back. Well, now I don’t want you back and I’m gonna write this review everywhere!!! I’m honestly gonna pray every day for God’s justice over your injustice!!!

Absolutely the worst!!!  Trying to get through to speak to someone to report an accident and I have been on hold for 2 hours!  This is absolutely UNACCEPTABLE service!!!!!!!!!  How are you supposed to report a claim “right away” of no one answers the calls or calls you back???????  Horrible just horrible!!!!!

It shouldn't take hours for any agency to answer the phone. I worked in insurance before and still work in sales. This is not how you treat customers. Not if you like your jobs

if i could give 0 i would. needed to add a vehicle to a policy and for two days i was on hold for over an hour, no call back, no contact. Dont go here. to give them your money is pointless. There's no service here at all. call the insurance company directly. its cheaper and faster.

Three and a half hours on hold... nobody has picked up. After the first hour and twenty minutes someone picked up the phone said "whoops" and disconnected the line. And when it said to press one and leave a message, once you hit that number it is only for people wanting a new account. You have to start all over. HORRIBLE SYSTEM! Only pay for what you need? I pay and I need customer service! Will be canceling! Oh and closed at 5.... disconnected!

I’ve been a customer for years. Lately they’ve completely stopped paying attention to detail. They remove policies that I need. Add policies I don’t. Without me authorizing it. Quote me policies I haven’t asked for. Don’t quote me policies I did ask for.
WFH. Distracted. Kids in the background. My wife drove without insurance for 3 days because they removed her car.
I no longer recommend this company.

Danielle, we are sorry to hear about your experience and that we couldn't resolve something for your mother in a better fashion. A lot of billing is done automatically and with missing payments email and mail reminders should be going out. I understand your frustration, however, this is a local sales office and may not be the best place to get your concern resolved. Please consider calling 844-266-4213 for additional service and support on your policy. Please accept our sincerest apologies.

These people dropped my mother who was short $8 on a 6 month payment. The payment was $706 and for a $8 shortage which was a simple mistake they dropped her.  She is 77 and do I dare accuse them of agism? Hard to prove but really? They couldn't just bill her $8???

I have been using Liberty Mutual for about 18 yrs. Great rates always a quick response when I call to get an answer on any question on my policy.

The most difficult company I've ever had the displeasure to work with.

Just to obtain ID cards for our mutual customer (I work at a dealership) we've spent days calling, emailing and still they were sent with incorrect information.

Due to this we can not send the paperwork into the DMV to get the vehicle registered and titled legally!

100% Would not recommend to anyone, if it's this horrible to get cards I can only imagine how awful a claim would be.

Clifton Park, NY office specifically

I've been a liberty customer for over 25 years for most of my insurance needs.  They were a great company but recently the changes have been sweeping and the customer service is in the toilet.  Had storm damage and a couple holes in my roof.  Tried to put a claim in and the claims representative takes days to get back to me and I get misinformation.  My rep left and my account was reassigned and my new rep won't call me back.  Trying to reach anybody in the local office is impossible. The national office you can get somebody on the phone but they're unable to help you.  Needless to say come renewal times I will be looking elsewhere.

I cringe every time I see one of Liberty Mutual's many commercials on TV now. They used to give good customer service with local agents. We even had a local account manager come into my workplace monthly to answer questions and work with his clients. Now it is impossible to even connect with someone in the state. I got shipped around on phone calls to disinterested people in CA, NV, FL and IN recently and none of them knew the laws in my state.
I would suggest that LM cut down on the advertising budget and increase the personnel budget. They are about to lose me as a longtime client.

Overpriced, got 3 other quotes for about half what I was paying, when I called they would not even talk to me about adjusting or looking for a lower rate

Not the least expensive, but they come through every time.  NEVER a hassle with claims or customer service service.

I have been a customer for over 20 years. I've had claims for car accidents, always handled fast and as painlessly as possible. I've never been punished for little mishaps. I have home, auto,life and umbrella policies. Always have access to helpful service reps, and they helped me save on policy discounts.

Rates are higher, getting costly, changing insurance.

Called around and am now saving $1000 a year with State Farm.

Although a bit chaotic in filing a claim on our end the representatives were patient courteous and returned calls quickly. Answered questions in an understandable way. Not finished with the process but it is moving in the right direction.

This Agency is a JOKE. Do not attempt to do business with them because customer service is not only Slow but also terrible. They take your money and will mess up your whole day. Than you will be here writing a horrible review too.

Was with Liberty Mutual for 12 yrs. Had one accident, then they canceled me without proper notice.

I have been a customer since 1981 and any situations I've ever had with Liberty Mutual have been handled professionally and in a timely fashion.  Excellent experience overall.
