Melissa has been my insurance agent for 15 years now which included two different homes, 6 different cars and 2 kids through driving permits and licensing— phew!  She is always professional & very responsive. Whenever a change is needed, I can always count on her to explain all my options in detail.  I saved quite a bit of money when we went with Melissa and referred her to a good friend who was thrilled when she also saved quite a lot.

We've worked with Melissa for the last 5 years, she helped us secure the insurance we needed for our home and vehicles as we moved from TN to OH. She knows her field, and if she needs to find additional information she does. She follows through with everything she says she will do, and is easy to communication with. Truly a marvelous insurance agent! Melissa went above and beyond the call of duty to help us when we got a new car after an accident. She helped us with multi Policy discounts and getting the best rate. I had live help almost immediately and calls were always quickly returned.   Melissa was  thorough and effective & did all the computer/paper required quickly and effectively.  In this post pandemic era, that kind of kindness + performance is something you don’t see often! Insurance Companies, for the most part, are all the same. They have competetive rates, comparable customer service and provide variations of equally satisfactory coverage.

There is one major factor, in my experience, that separates the average from the exemplary. And that is….the AGENT. Make no mistake, it ALL comes down to the agent.

From 1999 to 2014, I was a loyal customer for over 15 years with another insurance company in Arizona with a fantastic agent. When we moved from Arizona to Ohio in 2014, my (then) agent informed me that could no longer be my agent as I was moving out of State. I thought, ok, no problem, I’ll use the same company and simply find another agent, which I did. Over the following 2 years, one of my vehicle policies, for no reason and without warrant, had slowly and incrementally almost doubled. After confronting my then agent about this rate increase, he had no logical explanation and offered to reduce that premium back to basically the original rate. Long story short, my long relationship with that Insurance company and the brief relationship with that agent was over.

I expected my search for a new insurance company and especially the agent would be a challenge. Then, I struck gold. I was introduced to Melissa Laurich at Liberty Mutual. Melissa has been our agent for approximately 6 years now. Not only has Melissa “filled the shoes” of my original agent, she has surpassed him. Melissa has always been fair, honest, upfront and on top of all of our numerous policies. She is an excellent communicator, prompt and professional.

In a rare instance, I recently had a claim (having teenage drivers) for a “fender bender”. I heard this can be a frustrating experience….and mine could have been if it wasn’t for Melissa. Any questions, concerns or issues between myself, the adjuster and the body shop were immediately handled in lightning fast speed with a simple call to Melissa.

Apologies for being long winded but I felt it necessary to write this in hopes of helping anyone in the process of looking for insurance companies and especially an agent. I promise you, search no further than Melissa Laurich at Liberty Mutual….you’ll thank me later.
