Steven Gininger has been my insurance agent at Liberty Mutual for years and I highly recommend him. Recently, he explained the importance of maintaining an "umbrella" policy that meets or exceeds the value of your personal assets (savings /home value). This policy protects against law suits that could wipe you out financially. Look at the coverage of your umbrella policy --Does it match the value of your personal assets?  Mine didn't, so  I upgraded!  It's critical, but easy to overlook!

We often like to complain when things don't go our way, but it's also important to commend a job well done. This is a comment regarding Steven's competency and service in the insurance biz:

A few years back I had to find new insurance for my house as it had been cancelled on account of its wood shake shingle roof. I was connected with Steven via a friend in San Diego, and I was pleased with Steven's approach: Direct, polite, informed, and patient. I'm an overly-analytic type who likes to know as much about something he's buying as possible, and Steven took the time to answer my (many) questions and we wound up putting my house, cars, and an umbrella policy under Liberty Mutual.

He then helped me further when I decided to re-insure one of my cars under a classic car policy, and he provided a competent liaison between Liberty and Hagerty, which issued the new policy.

Most recently, when Liberty decided it no longer wanted to be in the umbrella business in California, Steven found a new and competitively-priced policy with even greater coverage; he also took the time to explain to me some of the dynamics germane to the insurance business in California, essentially answering several of my questions around a number of topics.

Steven is proactive, competent, timely, efficient, honest, and he'll work with you to find the best policy he can for the need you have—including earthquake. I recommend him without hesitation.

I have been working Steve for 8 years now and I can’t say enough good things about him and the level of service he provides.
